I was lucky enough to be told about and provided a copy of this book by a fellow Twitterer and one of the books author's. I feel very lucky to have had this book brought to my attention. It is an amazing read.

I myself am a Lesbian who with her partner, had a child through donor insemination. It was amazing to read other's stories about their adventures as queer parents and even donors. Some of the stories I could relate to. Others I was amazed at.

The wonderful underlying theme was the individual desires of the people in the stories to either have a child or to help someone who wants to have a child. It is truly touching to read adventures of people who adore children, desire children and cannot wait to have their little one enter their world.

There are many people in this world that criticize queer families. More recently there have been articles written that state research shows that children who are brought up by lesbians are happier and healthier. The main reason for this is because in order for us to have children as queer parents, we need to make extraordinary efforts to have the dream realized. It is not just a night of drunk sex and oops we are pregnant. Or oops our birth control did not work.

We as queer parents do not have the heterosexual "accidents." If queer parents have a child it is because it is a life dream. We know we want to care for a small, fragile child and nurture them to adulthood. We know what we want. We also know that it takes extra efforts and often a ton of money to realize our dream of parenthood.

If you are a queer parent or are thinking of becoming a queer parent, then I recommend that you purchase this book and give it a read. Every story is interesting in its own way. Your story will be different no doubt and interesting in its own way.

My story, is amazing. Why? Because I had my daughter from an unknown donor after 2 years of trying. I almost died giving birth to her, but I pulled through. My story is most interesting because we have the perfect little girl. I cannot imagine life before her. She is truly 'My Dream Come True' and that is what makes my story amazing in its own way.

I am so excited about this that I have to do a quick post on it.....

Emma Stahl is a new series that is going to be independently produced and funded through viewer and supporter donations. Once produced, Emma Stahl will be released on the internet. The release language will be German, but it will have English subtitles.

This first print is my all time favorite. I want this print hanging in my partner's and my room. I love how sexy it is. Something really draws me to the leg tattoo and gives the print a very sexual feeling, which I love. I love that their faces are not completely visible. I would not want this print hanging in my bedroom if the faces were visible. The anonymity created by their faces not being completely visible allows for the viewer to place themselves and their partner into the print. I LOVE IT!

This print I like because of how romantic it is. It presents a soft, gentle, loving moment that I can relate too. The moment that the two women are having feels familiar to me so much that it takes me into the moment myself. I feel that I know what these two women are thinking and feeling just by viewing their moment. Love, Love, Love and Sexuality.

This print is amazing. I am drawn to it because of its raw sexuality. I love the moment and the intense sexual feeling that the women, covered in the shower water gives off. The glistening of their bodies adds to the sexual attraction within the print. The sexual desire the women present is a deep desire for each other.

I truly and completely love this print. My partner is not so crazy about it. I want this print in our house, but am still trying to convince my partner why it is great art.

This print is warming, sexual, loving and comforting to me. The woman's hair looks enticing and reminds me of my partner and how I love playing with her hair. I feel that the fact that the woman's legs are only partially open is attractive and draws me in. I love that you can see her hips, stomach and a partial breast.

This is another print that I just LOVE. I love the softness and curves of the woman's figure. I love the one breast being shown. This print really exemplifies the sexy, soft and comforting curvatures of a woman's body. I love that the woman's head is not visible so as not to draw away from the curves of her body.
